Labor Day Weekend 2022 Will See 137 Million Americans Travel

We did it. After revenge travel and flight delays and spending money we don’t really have, we made it to the last holiday weekend of the summer. According to The Vacationeran estimated 137 million people will be traveling for Labor Day weekend, which is more than 53% of the country.

According to Jerry, it’s actually the most dangerous summer holiday for driving, especially Saturday. If you plan on being on the road on Saturday make sure to exercise plenty of caution.

As for when is the best time to make your journey, AAA advised Memorial Day weekend travelers that departures were best timed before 6 am and after 9 pm on Thursday and Friday, while

The COVID-19 pandemic isn’t over yet — who the hell knows if it ever will be — but its early months have come to feel like a distant, drunken, collective nightmare, when everything we thought we knew about human behavior seemed to get turned on its head. At first glance, the Angelenos in Bernard Rose’s dreamy and marvelous Travel Light, which returns us to the summer of 2020, act like space aliens. They speak through each other even as they judge one another. They alternate between anxiety and frivolity, as if nothing is all that important but somehow everything is significant. They’re all incredibly weird yet embarrassingly familiar.

Rose’s film (which is opening theatrically in New York after a run in Los Angeles and will hopefully be more widely available soon) takes place over the course of

Traveling nurses poised to fill in if Minnesota nurses strike

While the pay can vary by region, recruiting agencies say traveling nurses can make $80 an hour or more.

ST PAUL, Min. — The Minnesota Nurses Association (MNA) says there are no formal talks scheduled with hospital leaders this weekend as negotiations continue in an effort to avert a strike.

The 15,000-member union voted this week to authorize a strike, but its leaders are still in discussions about when and if to call one at all. If they do, the union says it would be one of the largest in US history.

In that case, so-called rapid response agencies that retain strike nurses will be available to travel at a moment’s notice and are paid well for their time.

The MNA says it’s negotiating for better pay and working conditions.

“Our patients are sicker and more complex and our nurses are taking care of more of them at one time
