Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have changed their European trip itinerary after the Palace announced today that the Queen has been put under medical supervision in Balmoral, Scotland. Harry traveled to join her and family members Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, along with his brother Prince William, who also traveled to Scotland to be with his grandmother. Meghan Markle remains in London, a source told Omid Scobie.

Meghan and Harry’s spokesperson confirmed this morning that the couple was traveling to Scotland to be with the Queen. They were supposed to attend the WellChild Awards today in London but understandably canceled their appearance, Hello! reported.

A source later specified to royal reporter Omid Scobie that only Harry traveled to Balmoral, while Meghan remained in London.

The COVID-19 pandemic isn’t over yet — who the hell knows if it ever will be — but its early months have come to feel like a distant, drunken, collective nightmare, when everything we thought we knew about human behavior seemed to get turned on its head.
